In the Department of Biological Sciences, we’re not just studying life—we're making a real impact. Here, people come together to tackle big, complex challenges, from the smallest molecules to entire ecosystems. It’s about doing real work that makes a real difference in the world.
Our graduate program is a place for students who are passionate about research. You’ll dive into a Ph.D. curriculum with concentrations in biochemistry, evolution and behavior, and neuroscience and cell and molecular biology. Along the way, you’ll discover who you are as a researcher, build genuine, lasting friendships, and have many opportunities to conduct research, teach, and publish your findings.
When you leave Lehigh, you’ll be ready for a meaningful career. Our graduates go on to get research positions at great universities and top companies in pharmaceuticals and biotech, where they continue to make a real, measurable difference.
